Interim measures are urgent steps that can be taken by the school or the courts to minimize the risk of harm to a survivor. Interim measures available from the school may include, "no-contact" orders, changes in housing assignment, changes to academic schedules, and transportation arrangements. It is not necessary for a survivor to file a complaint in order to request interim measures.
