The first priority of anyone concerned about her or his safety is to get to a safe place. If necessary, seek help. Calling 911 is always an option. Even if a survivor does not want to report a crime, the police can provide assistance. At the request of the survivor, the police will provide transportation to the medical care facility of the survivor’s choice.
